A poster ready for Christmas
Creating an appealing and different poster.
Philharmonic Ensemble Vienna, formed by members from the great Vienna Philharmonic orchestra, visited the cities of Barcelona and Girona to re–interpret their iconic New Year’s concert as performed in Austria every January.
Our poster had to portray the uniqueness of such an occasion, while at the same time subtly transmitting its Christmas spirit. But without falling into seasonal tropes of red or green, reindeer or sleigh bells.
We opted for a balanced combination of warm and cool tones with gentle, amorphous shapes. The use of gradient helped mould everything together, ensuring a complete, elegant look to accompany the campaign’s motto: Let your heart dance a waltz.
In parallel with the print rollout, we created digital versions of the posters to be used across all digital platforms as the concert approached.
World-renowned musicians: check! Christmas spirit, check! Visually appealing poster, check! When concert day finally arrived, the mood was set and everyone was ready to enjoy great music that they had long anticipated.
